Featuring Aimee Weaver Designs

One of the things I appreciate most about home decor today is the number of small businesses that have popped up to create the most amazingly imperfect, customized and one of a kind pieces.  However, I'd say this wooden "fly" sign from Aimee Weaver Designs is anything but imperfect!  

When I came across this hand-painted feather on reclaimed barn wood I knew exactly why I needed it and where it was going to go.  I have a "thing" for feathers, and being that I've recently left a full time and steady paying job to pursue my dream and venture into the unknown, I knew the word "fly" needed to be on that sign.  It's a beautiful reminder of the free fall experienced on a daily basis when you stop dreaming and start doing.  The perfect little nudge that says "You've got this. Don't stop."      

One of the greatest things about Aimee's work (besides the fact that it's stunning) is that it's customizable, as you can see by clicking here for the example of this sign on her site.  I chose the dark stain with Antique Parchment (off-white) lettering.  I am incredibly pleased with the quality of this sign and she makes sure to pack it well so it arrives in tip-top shape!  Worth every penny, and the best part is - it supports a small business.
