Nature Inspired Spring Decorating

Word on design street is that natural accents are HOT HOT HOT in 2018. Music to my design loving ears! I may incorporate a few touches of color for Spring, but for the most part I’m giddy with excitement at the thought of nature inspired Spring decorating.

You can take that as literal as you want...

Think gorgeous tree branch on the fireplace mantle, a driftwood centerpiece or birch wood in a basket.

If you don't want to be so literal, then you can't go wrong with a neutral nature inspired color palette incorporating warm wood tones, greenery, shades of white and lots of texture that allow you to add a pop of seasonal color.

Is anyone else drooling right now??

Kirklands Terrain Lane Tall Wood Vase, Dining Room

Kirkland’s has always been one of my go-to home décor retailers, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to partner with them and introduce you to their newest collection – Terrain Lane

The collection’s wood pieces, lush greens and cheerful lemon accents are the epitome of nature inspired Spring decorating!

I've put together this collage to give you a glimpse of some of my favorite products from the Terrain Lane line, but there are so many other fantastic options like wood bowls, galvanzied buckets, cute pillows, furniture... there's really something for everyone in this line!

SO GOOD, right??

I’m a complete sucker for nature inspired elements and there are so many delicious options in this collection, but when I laid my eyes on this 19.5” wooden vase I knew right where it belonged. Well, actually I knew a couple places it belonged so I thought I’d share both ideas to help get your creative wheels turning!

I usually prefer to leave large vases empty so they become the statement piece in the space, but in my neutral dining room they were screaming for a pop of green so I kept it simple with two faux philodendron leaves.

However, in my bedroom I liked it better all on its own. The way the art surrounds it makes it feel so special like it’s on display in an art gallery. Don’t you agree??

While nature inspired decorating isn’t really a new trend, it’s a hot trend right now and one that will remain timeless.

What’s your take on it?

A. Totally digging it!

B. Not really for me.

XO,
Christina
